The 18th International Sufi Symposium was organized in Morocco.

Academics, experts and Sufis from Islamic countries and artists from different fields participated in the 6-day symposium organized by the Morocco-based Al-Multega Foundation in the town of Meddag near the city of Wadjda.

This year’s theme of the symposium was “Sufism: Religious and national values for world citizenship” and in addition to academic presentations, workshops were also organized.

The program started with the recitation of the Holy Quran, commemorated the victims of the Marrakesh earthquake, and later in the night, ode to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was recited and dhikr was performed accompanied by Sufi hymns.
