Algeria evacuates hundreds from Lebanon

Algeria has evacuated 306 of its citizens from Lebanon, where Israel has been conducting attacks since late September.

The Foreign Ministry announced the operation on Friday, stating that the evacuees were transported via Cairo International Airport.

The ministry detailed that the evacuation plan involved two designated flights from Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport to Cairo.

Air Algerie, the national airline, was responsible for bringing the citizens back to Algeria.

This is the second evacuation effort for Algerian nationals in Lebanon.

In August, over 125 citizens were repatriated through a similar operation.

The Foreign Ministry emphasized its readiness to organize additional evacuations if needed and expressed hope for de-escalation and peace in both Palestine and Lebanon.
