
At least 13 civilians were killed and an unknown number abducted in a brutal attack by Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels in eastern Congo’s North Kivu province.
The attack, which occurred late Friday evening in Mabisio village, also resulted in the destruction of homes and the looting of property.
The ADF, a militant group with ties to the Islamic State, has been responsible for numerous atrocities in the region.
Their attacks have intensified in recent years, spreading beyond their traditional stronghold and posing a significant threat to the population.
