The Somali army has successfully killed 16 al-Shabaab militants in an operation conducted in the eastern part of the Hiiraan region.

The army successfully captured several strategic locations, including Beera Yabaal, Buur Abooto, Eega Galmaay, Jidcilaan, and Cadow Gureey.
