Arabs stand firm against forced Palestinian displacement: Egypt

Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty reaffirmed a “full Arab consensus” against the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza.

In Washington, he told US Senator Chris Van Hollen that Egypt rejects President Donald Trump’s proposal to relocate Gaza’s residents to Arab nations.

Abdelatty stressed the need for a political framework leading to Palestinian statehood and self-determination.

Trump’s plan to “take over” Gaza and redevelop it was widely condemned by Palestinians, Arab nations, and global powers.

His proposal followed a ceasefire that paused Israel’s assault, which has killed over 48,100 Palestinians and devastated Gaza.
