Hamas activates ‘immediate disposal’ protocol for hostages

Hamas has activated what it calls an “immediate disposal” protocol for hostages in Gaza amid expectations of an Israeli special-operation attempt following stalled Doha truce talks, according to a Telegram channel that styles itself as a “resistance security platform.”

The channel, “Al-Haris” (“The Guardian”), quoted a Gaza security officer saying all prisoner-guarding units had been put on high alert and instructed to operate under the protocol, without disclosing details. The officer warned residents to report suspicious people or vehicles.

Israeli media and military commentators sounded alarms over the move, saying it chiefly concerns Hamas’s armed-wing “Shadow Unit,” which is tasked with holding captives. Prominent analyst Or Bialkov said the order effectively authorizes “immediate liquidation” of Israeli hostages if a rescue attempt is launched.

Separately, U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters a Gaza ceasefire deal “is unlikely,” asserting Hamas “doesn’t want an agreement” and predicting its leaders would now be hunted down. With only “the last 10 or 20 hostages” left, striking a deal would be “very difficult,” he said.
