Hamas on Sunday condemned Israel’s plan to move residents out of Gaza City, calling it a “new wave of genocide and displacement” for hundreds of thousands of people.
The group said Israel’s planned deployment of tents and other shelter equipment in southern Gaza is a “blatant deception” meant to mask “a brutal crime that the occupation forces prepare to execute.”
Israel’s military has said it will begin providing tents and other supplies starting Sunday as part of a plan to relocate civilians from combat zones in Gaza City to the south “to ensure their safety.”
