Ebo Noah moves from failed flood prophecy to festive concert stage

Self-styled prophet Ebo Noah made an unexpected shift from apocalyptic preaching to entertainment during a Christmas night appearance at Rapperholic 2025. Noah appeared on stage at the Grand Arena to introduce Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie, hours after his widely publicised flood prophecy failed to materialise.

The prophet had warned of a global deluge on December 25, prompting followers to build wooden “arks” and gather in anticipation. Instead of catastrophe, the night delivered music, lights, and spectacle, as Noah briefly urged repentance before energising the crowd.

Cheers and laughter rippled through the arena as Sarkodie launched into “Happy Day,” blurring lines between prophecy and performance. Earlier that day, Noah claimed divine intervention had postponed the disaster, saying his prayers had spared the world.

Reports said disappointed followers, including some who travelled from Liberia, were left stranded at ark sites. Local media reported that one wooden structure was set on fire amid anger and confusion following the failed prediction. Controversy deepened when Noah was later seen driving a luxury Mercedes-Benz valued at about $89,000.

The prophet denied collecting funds, saying the ark projects were community-driven rather than donation-based efforts. Social media users questioned the car’s origins, alleging followers sold possessions believing the end was near. As videos from Rapperholic spread online, public opinion remains divided, with no confirmed evidence of financial wrongdoing.
