
Algeria and Angola signed eleven agreements and memorandums of understanding on Monday, deepening cooperation across strategic economic sectors.
The signing ceremony was overseen by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Angolan President João Lourenço in a formal diplomatic setting.
Lourenço began a three-day official visit to Algeria, during which he is expected to address parliament and leaders.
The accords span investment, vocational training, postal services, telecommunications, information technology, higher education, and pharmaceutical industries between both countries cooperation areas.
They also include cooperation in air transport, mining, oil and gas, further strengthening economic partnership between both nations strategic bilateral.
Memorandums were also signed between Algeria’s Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations and Angola’s diplomatic academy to enhance diplomatic training cooperation.
President Tebboune said he held rich talks with Lourenço focused on building productive partnerships across multiple sectors of mutual interest.
He described Algeria–Angola relations as historic, rooted in a shared struggle against all forms of domination and colonialism legacy.
Tebboune expressed Algeria’s readiness to support Angola’s efforts in training, skills development, and institutional capacity building initiatives across sectors further.
The Algerian president announced a direct air route between the two countries starting in July to boost trade connectivity links.
Officials said the agreements reflect a broader vision of strengthening South–South cooperation amid shifting global economic currents and shared development goals.
