12 killed in armed attack in Nigeria

An armed attack on a market in Kaduna state, Nigeria, has resulted in the deaths of 12 people, according to reports in the national media. Cafra Caino, the chairman of the Kajuru Local Government Area, stated that armed gang members attacked the Maro market.

Caino reported that 12 people lost their lives in the attack, with 20 others injured. Caino also mentioned that the injured were taken to the hospital and that an investigation into the incident has been launched.

Nigeria has recently faced attacks not only from armed gangs but also from terrorist organizations such as Boko Haram and the West Africa branch of ISIS (ISWAP). Dozens of people have been killed, and over 300 have been abducted in attacks in Kaduna state since January.
