In armed attacks in Nigeria’s Benue and Kaduna states, 12 people have lost their lives.
Jonathan Agbidye, Member of Parliament for Katsina-Ala District, stated that armed individuals whose identities have not yet been determined attacked the Katsina-Ala area in Benue state.
Agbidye reported that 6 people lost their lives in the attack, with many others injured. He also mentioned that several individuals were kidnapped, and highlighted that the armed individuals looted food items from the local residents.
According to national media reports, another attack in the Kajuru area of Kaduna state resulted in the deaths of 6 people, including a woman.
Nigeria has recently faced attacks not only from armed gangs but also from Boko Haram and ISWAP in various parts of the country.
