Al-Hilal from Sudan qualify for group stage of CAF Champions League

Sudan’s team Al-Hilal and Mali’s Real Bamako qualified for the group stage of the current season’s African Champions League after defeating Primeiro de Agosto from Angola and Nouadhibou from Mauritania, respectively, in the return matches held on Sunday as part of the Round of 32 competition.

The Round of 32 matches will conclude today with a game between CR Belouizdad from Algeria and Bo Rangers from Sierra Leone, completing the lineup for the Round of 16.

The Sudanese Al-Hilal won against Primeiro de Agosto from Angola with a score of 2-1 during the match held on Sunday at the Ben Ahmed El Abdi Stadium in Morocco as part of the second preliminary round of the 2023-2024 African Champions League.

The goals for Al-Hilal were scored by Yasser Muzammil and Mohamed Abdelrahman in the 7th and 40th minutes, respectively. Meanwhile, Primeiro de Agosto scored their goal in the 82nd minute of the match.

So far, the following teams have qualified for the tournament: Al-Ahly, Pyramids, Wydad, Esperance, Sundowns, Simba, Petro Atletico, Mazembe, ASCK, Al-Hilal, Young Africans, Etoile du Sahel, Mamelodi Sundowns, Madema, Real Bamako, and Galaxy.
