A tragic helicopter crash occurred on Wednesday in the Democratic Republic of Congo, claiming the lives of three crew members.
The ill-fated aircraft was attempting to land at N’Dolo Airport in Kinshasa when the accident happened.
The victims, all foreign nationals, were identified as the pilot, co-pilot, and a technician. Their specific nationalities have not been released at this time.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Firefighting teams were immediately dispatched to the scene to contain any potential fire.
N’Dolo Airport, primarily used for light aircraft, is situated in the Barumbu commune on the banks of the Funa River.
Aeronautical accidents are unfortunately a recurring issue in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
