Egypt’s Air Force conducts vital aid airdrop in Gaza

In a significant move, Egypt’s air force has air-dropped 45 tonnes of aid into northern and central Gaza, with plans for more deliveries in the near future.

This assistance from Egypt becomes particularly vital as the World Food Programme had to halt deliveries in northern Gaza last week due to looting of supplies.

Reports indicate that UN aid agencies are facing systematic obstacles and attacks on their staff, hindering their humanitarian work in Gaza.

Ocha, the UN humanitarian agency, accused Israeli soldiers of preventing the evacuation of patients from Al Amal hospital in Khan Younis on Sunday, with patients forced out of ambulances and the medical team subjected to strip searches. Ongoing incidents of this nature have raised concerns, with Israel yet to provide a response.
