In Zamibia, 3 senior politicians from the main opposition Patriotic Front (PF) and Socialist Party (SP) leader Fred M’membe were detained.
According to national media reports, former Justice Minister Given Lubinda, one of the PF politicians, was among those detained for failing to surrender his diplomatic passport, and Emmanuel Mwamba was among those detained for inciting hatred and hatred on social media.
Socialist Party leader M’membe and PF member Raphael Nakachinda were also detained on espionage charges.
The detained politicians denied the charges against them.
