Hundreds of civilians killed by al-Burhan forces in Sudan, RSF says

The relentless brutality of forces under al-Burhan’s command persists, evident in recent bombings in el-Jazeera State, where 9 civilians lost their lives, and western Wad Madani, where at least 20 civilians fell victim to relentless army bombing, as reported by The Sudan Times on Sunday.

According to RSF, the city of el Fasher continues to endure continuous aerial bombardment by al-Burhan’s forces, resulting in the tragic loss of innocent lives and displacement of civilians.

In the past week alone, Burhan’s forces have inflicted widespread destruction across various regions, resulting in catastrophic outcomes. In the Kandahar market, situated west of Omdurman, air strikes led to the deaths of 360 civilians, as confirmed by RSF.

RSF emphasized that the violations committed by the Burhan militia and the extremist terrorist remnants of the former regime against innocent civilians constitute genocide.

Sudan remains embroiled in conflict between the army, led by Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, head of the ruling Sovereign Council, and the RSF. According to UN figures, the conflict that began in April 2023 has claimed the lives of at least 13,900 people and displaced over eight million.

Despite several cease-fire agreements brokered by Saudi Arabia and US mediators, the violence persists unabated.
