It was reported that 7 people lost their lives due to alcohol poisoning in Morocco.
Health Minister Khalid Ait Taleb spoke during a session in the second chamber of parliament, where ministers were being questioned.
Taleb stated, “An incident occurred yesterday in the Sidi Alal Tazi region of Khenifra province as a result of the consumption of unsuitable alcoholic substances. The incident led to the death of 7 people and the poisoning of 82 others.”
Expressing sorrow over the incident, Minister Taleb extended condolences to the families of the deceased.
According to a news report published yesterday by the official Moroccan news agency MAP, the investigation conducted by the gendarmerie resulted in the identification and arrest of two individuals involved in the alcohol poisoning incident in the Sidi Alal Tazi region.
It was noted that the investigation into the incident is being supervised by the competent prosecutor’s office.
