Libya exempts specific groups of Turkey and Egypt from entry visas

The Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid al-Dbeibeh, issued a decree on Wednesday exempting certain categories of citizens from Turkey and Egypt from requiring entry visas to Libyan territories.

The decree mentioned that “in accordance with the principle of reciprocity, citizens of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Republic of Turkey are exempted from the requirement of obtaining a visa to enter Libyan territories” for the following categories.

Regarding Turkey, the Libyan Prime Minister’s decision exempted “children under the age of 18 and men and women over the age of 55” from requiring visas.

For Egypt, the decree exempted “children under the age of 18, men over the age of 45, and women in all age groups” from requiring visas.

It’s notable that in 2019, Turkey issued a decision exempting Libyan citizens under the age of 16 and over the age of 55 who hold regular passports from requiring visas for tourism purposes.
