Libya’s internationally recognized government has strongly denounced attempts to halt operations at the Sharara oil field, labelling them as “political blackmail.”
In an official statement released today, the government vowed to protect the interests of the Libyan people following a partial shutdown of the field by local protesters on Saturday.
The Sharara oil field, a cornerstone of Libya’s economy, boasts a daily production capacity of approximately 300,000 barrels.
Unfortunately, it has become a recurrent target for protesters driven by various political agendas.
Authorities have pledged to take decisive action to restore full operations at the vital oil facility and ensure the uninterrupted flow of Libya’s critical energy resources.
