The United Nations Security Council has unanimously condemned North Korea’s recent missile launches.
The council members expressed deep concern over the escalating tensions in the region and urged North Korea to cease its provocative actions.
The resolution, adopted by all 15 council members, called for a return to dialogue and negotiations to resolve the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue peacefully.
The United States, as the current president of the Security Council, led the drafting of the resolution and welcomed its adoption.
China and Russia, often seen as North Korea’s allies, supported the resolution.
The council members emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region and called for a diplomatic solution to the crisis.
