Nigeria Air Force (NAF) spokesperson Edward Gabkwet announced in a written statement that 80 terrorists were neutralized in an air operation targeting terrorists in Katsina state.
The operation, part of the “Hadarin Daji Operation,” was launched on June 15 following intelligence received in the Faskari area of Katsina state. Gabkwet noted that 80 terrorists were killed in the operation, with many others fleeing the scene injured.
Additionally, numerous vehicles and hideouts were destroyed, and dozens of weapons and significant ammunition were seized.
Nigeria has been combating armed gangs as well as terrorist groups like Boko Haram and ISWAP in various regions of the country in recent times.
