
Armed attacks in Nigeria’s Katsina state left 24 people dead.
According to national media reports, armed gang members organized armed attacks in Unguwar Sarkin Noma, Gangara, Tafi, and Kore villages in Katsina state.
In the attacks, 24 people were killed and many people, including women, were abducted.
Nigeria has recently been subjected to attacks by armed gangs in different parts of the country as well as terrorist organizations Boko Haram and ISWAP, the West African branch of DAESH.
Kidnappings for ransom are also common in the country, although the penalty is execution. Gunmen and gang members usually target villages, schools and travelers in the north of the country and demand ransom.
