RSF blames mercenaries of looting Sudan humanitarian aid

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has issued a scathing statement accusing Mini Arko Minawi, a mercenary leader allied with Al Burhan’s army (SAF), of plundering humanitarian aid and war crimes.

The RSF said that Minawi has been diverting desperately needed supplies to his own forces and using them to commit atrocities against the Sudanese people.

The statement alleges that Minawi has been spreading lies about the RSF’s involvement in the looting of aid convoys.

“The undeniable truth is this – Minawi is the chief architect behind the theft of famine relief funds, diverting desperately needed aid to supply his mercenary forces. Instead of reaching those in dire need, large quantities of humanitarian assistance remain hoarded in his warehouses,” RSF statement reads.

The RSF insists that it is committed to delivering humanitarian assistance to millions of Sudanese citizens suffering from famine and conflict.

The RSF also accused Minawi of aligning himself with the Islamic Movement, a group responsible for instigating the current conflict in Sudan.

The RSF has vowed to bring Minawi and his allies to justice for their crimes.

The statement comes amid ongoing clashes between the RSF and Al Burhan’s army, which have displaced millions of people and caused a humanitarian crisis in Sudan.
