Solidarity demonstration for Palestine organized in Ghana

A demonstration in support and solidarity with Palestine was held in Ghana.
Hundreds of people, including foreigners and students, attended the demonstration held at Kwame Nkrumah Circle Square in the capital Accra.
The demonstrators waved Palestinian and Ghanaian flags, carried banners reading “No to war”, “We stand with the Palestinians”, “Justice for Palestine” and chanted “Free Palestine”.
Former MP Ras Mubarak, who participated in the protest, told AA correspondent that the world has seen the genocide in Palestine and that apartheid Israel is committing crimes against humanity.
“It is unfortunate that America, Britain and other European countries stand behind the mass killing of babies, children and women in Gaza,” he said.
Mubarak stated that they want an immediate end to the attacks and occupation against the Palestinian people.
Former Accra Governor and MP Alfred Oko Vanderpuije said he was against what Hamas did on October 7, but that Israel had gone too far in taking innocent lives.
Pointing out that Palestinian children, families and hospitals are being destroyed, Vanderpuije said that it is time to say that this atrocity must stop and that it is time to bring peace by opening the way for dialogue.
