The Somali army neutralized more than 40 members of the terrorist organization Al-Shabaab in an air and ground operation.
According to the statement made by the Somali Information Ministry, an air and ground operation against Al-Shabaab was carried out with the support of the international coalition in the village of Welmaro in the Lower Juba region.
More than 40 members of the organization were killed in the operation by specially trained Danab troops on the ground.
The Somali army, which frequently receives air support from the US, has increased its operations against the organization in recent months.
