Sudan appeals to Arab League to halt foreign involvement

Pro-General Abdel Fatah al Burhan Sudanese government has officially requested an emergency meeting of the Arab League to address the growing influence of foreign actors in the ongoing conflict.

Burhan-oriented government is concerned about external interference and seeks to mobilize regional support to counter these efforts.

The call for an Arab League meeting comes amid a devastating civil war that has engulfed Sudan since April 2023.

The government believes that the involvement of foreign powers has exacerbated the conflict and hindered efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution.

By seeking the support of the Arab League, Sudan aims to garner regional solidarity and potentially mobilize resources to address the humanitarian crisis and rebuild the country.

The Arab League has a crucial role to play in mediating regional conflicts and promoting stability.

It remains to be seen how the league will respond to Sudan’s request and what steps it will take to address the complex challenges facing the country.
