Sources reveal that the Sudanese Sovereignty Council chairman and chief of the Sudanese army, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, will visit Turkey on Wednesday.
The sources indicate that Al-Burhan will hold official talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and senior Turkish officials regarding ways to end the war and provide support to the Sudanese people.
This visit marks Al-Burhan’s fifth trip outside Sudan since the conflict began in mid-April last year.
The ongoing conflict in Sudan has been raging for months between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
The battles, which have left approximately 5 million displaced and refugees, have exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in the country.
