The Rapid Support Forces said on Sunday in a statement to have seized Egyptian-made ammunition depots from the General Abdel Fattah al Burhan’s army (SAF) in Kordofan, presenting video footage as evidence.
The footage shows crates labeled “Arab Republic of Egypt,” suggesting Egyptian government support for Burhan’s army.
An RSF commander purportedly confirmed control of this “vital armament hub.”
Analysts suggest this loss is a blow to the Burhan, potentially indicating regional involvement in the conflict.
The Burhan-led government has yet to comment on the footage.
