The Sudan Founding Alliance’s transitional administration has named six new ministers as Prime Minister Mohamed Hassan Othman Al-Taishi continues to build out the government’s executive structure.
A decree issued by Al-Taishi appointed new ministers to portfolios covering agriculture, trade, investment, communications, labour and youth affairs.
Salah Al-Shimi Al-Faki Al-Shimi was named minister of agriculture and forests, while Mohamed Ismail Abdullah Ismail was appointed minister of trade.
Adam Al-Tahir Hasaballah will take charge of the investment portfolio, and Amer Toto Bahr was appointed minister of communications and digital transformation.
The decree also named Saleh Mansour Al-Radi Khalil as minister of labour and human resources and Adel Ibrahim Shaluka Nimer as minister of youth and sports.
The appointments were made under Article 73(a) of the 2025 Transitional Constitution adopted by the TASIS alliance.
State institutions and bodies operating under the administration were instructed to implement the decision and facilitate the ministers’ assumption of office.
The latest appointments broaden the administration’s focus beyond political and security affairs, adding several ministries linked to economic recovery, public services and institutional development.
TASIS has been gradually forming its governing structures in areas controlled by its member forces, presenting the administration as an alternative civilian authority amid Sudan’s continuing war.
The alliance includes the Rapid Support Forces, the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North led by Abdelaziz Al-Hilu, and a number of armed movements and political groups.
The Port Sudan authorities reject the TASIS government and accuse it of establishing a rival administration, while TASIS says its institutions are intended to restore governance and service delivery in territories outside army control.
