Thousands march in South Africa in solidarity with Palestine

Thousands of people from around the world marched 41 kilometers in Cape Town, South Africa, calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.

According to national media reports, thousands of people from 20 countries and 160 cities gathered in Cape Town for a solidarity event in solidarity with Palestine themed “Pilgrimage for a Ceasefire in Gaza”, with the call of churches and the Christian community.

The event, which was held with Christian religious motifs before Easter week, included a 41-kilometer walk representing the length of the Gaza Strip.

The march started from Simon’s Town in the south of Cape Town and ended in Cape Town city center.

Thousands of people armed with Palestinian flags called for a ceasefire in Gaza and prayed for Palestinians during the march.

At the poetry and music concert held after the march, the victims of the Israeli attacks on Gaza were commemorated.
