Tunisian PM Hachani met Mauritania and Kenya Presidents in Seoul

Tunisian Prime Minister Ahmed el-Tunisian PM Hachani met Mauritania and Kenya Presidents in Seoul discussed bilateral relations with the Presidents of Mauritania and Kenya.

According to a statement from the Tunisian Prime Ministry, during the Korea-Africa Summit held in Seoul, Prime Minister Hachani addressed the issue of irregular migration in his meetings with the Presidents of Mauritania and Kenya.

In his meeting with President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani of Mauritania, Hachani expressed the opportunity to strengthen the longstanding strong brotherly relations between the two countries. The discussions included evaluating comprehensive approaches to irregular migration under the African Union framework, recognizing both countries’ roles as significant transit points for irregular migration and emphasizing the importance of joint efforts in combating such attempts.

During his meeting with President William Ruto of Kenya, Hachani explored avenues for bilateral cooperation in various fields such as higher education, healthcare, and digitalization. The establishment of joint cooperation committees to enhance relations between Tunisia and Kenya in the near future was also discussed during the meeting.
