
Turkey shipped almost $10 billion worth of goods to Africa in the first half of 2025, led by $1.8 billion in sales to Morocco, Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TIM) data show.
Egypt imported $1.6 billion, Libya $1.3 billion, followed by Tunisia ($554.1 million), South Africa ($303.5 million) and Nigeria ($242.3 million).
Year-on-year increases were strongest in Morocco (up $345 million), Libya ($262 million), the Democratic Republic of Congo ($103 million), Niger ($91.5 million) and Ghana ($68.1 million).
Chemicals led export categories at $1.3 billion, trailed by cereals/grains/oilseeds ($1.2 billion), steel ($942.4 million), textiles and raw materials ($675.5 million) and automotive products ($619 million).
