The Turkish Foreign Minister stated that Turkey supports all bilateral and international efforts to end the civil war in Sudan, emphasising that Turkey feels a historical responsibility towards Sudan and continues its diplomatic efforts to bring an end to the conflict.

Fidan underlined that the Turkish president is determined to provide all kinds of humanitarian assistance to Sudan and that Ankara is ready to take any action to promote peace.

Minister also highlighted President Erdogan’s high concern to the humanitarian situation in Sudan and mentioned that various topics, including the ongoing peace talks, were discussed during the meeting with Sudan’s army chief Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan.

“Our President reiterated his commitment to providing all kinds of humanitarian aid and support to Sudan. At the same time, if there is any service we can offer for peace, we are always ready for that. Our work in this regard continues uninterrupted.” Fidan added.

Regarding the recent flood disaster in Libya, Fidan extended condolences and get-well wishes to the Libyan people. He mentioned that Turkey has already sent its initial aid to Libya, including three military cargo planes, 168 search and rescue personnel, two search and rescue vehicles, and two search and rescue boats.
