A 25-year-old named Musa Musasizi has received a 105-year prison sentence from the High Court in Uganda’s capital, Kampala, for his involvement in the murder of three women, referred to as his girlfriends, and a three-month-old girl, the child of one of his victims.
Court proceedings revealed that Musasizi had romantic relationships with these women before subjecting them to sexual assault and murder. He then disposed of their bodies by burning them.
Justice Margaret Mutonyi emphasized the importance of the extended sentence, emphasizing the need to protect young women, including Musasizi’s six-year-old daughter, as per reports from the privately-owned NTV channel.
Musasizi was apprehended in March 2021 under suspicion of killing five women and an infant. He was convicted for one murder in July.
During the trial, Musasizi’s attorney appealed to the judge for leniency, highlighting the defendant’s difficult upbringing as a former street child.
