Vital trade route collapses as Burhan’s SAF strikes Sudanese port

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have said Burhan-controlled SAF of fully destroying the Wad Madani land port through airstrikes, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict that has plagued Sudan since April.

According to the RSF, the port’s destruction has severely disrupted trade and humanitarian aid in the region.

The crucial hub for goods and people reportedly is inoperable, worsening the humanitarian crisis affecting the country.

Images and videos on social media show the extent of the damage, with buildings reduced to rubble.

Burhan-controlled SAF has yet to comment on the attack.

The destruction of the Wad Madani land port highlights rising tensions, raising concerns of a further worsening situation in the conflict.

This recent incident adds to the series of escalating hostilities between the two factions, intensifying fears that the conflict in Sudan may continue to deteriorate, causing even more harm to civilians and regional stability.
