Millions of lives are at risk due to significant cuts from member states. Initial appeals for Yemen ($2.4B for 10.5M) and Somalia ($1.4B for 4.6M) are now severely limited.

Yemen will now focus on 8.8M people with $1.4B, while Somalia targets 1.3M with $367M.

The UN emphasizes that needs remain high despite these reductions.

Spokeswoman Tremblay warns of dire consequences including hunger and lack of essential services.
