
Dozens of Romanian security contractors fighting alongside the Congolese army in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo have surrendered to Rwandan authorities following intense fighting with M23 rebels.

Footage emerged of Romanian contractors crossing the border into Rwanda and surrendering to Rwandan soldiers. The Rwandan army confirmed the surrender of over 280 contractors and stated they are being evacuated to Kigali.
