Algeria hosts Islamic Development Bank summit

The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group commenced its 51st annual meeting in Algiers, Algeria, on Monday, uniting leaders from 57 member nations. 

This four-day event at the Abdelatif Rahal International Conference Center aims to boost development cooperation and facilitate knowledge exchange. 

The meeting’s theme, “Diversifying Economies, Enriching Lives,” sets the stage for strategic dialogues on shared economic challenges. 

Key discussion points include digital enterprise solutions, Islamic finance advancements, the halal economy, and socioeconomic development. 

The event features side forums like the Youth Development Forum and the Global Forum on Islamic Finance. 

The IsDB highlighted this meeting as the start of its Board of Governors’ 50th session, emphasizing its commitment to Islamic finance and sustainable development. 

Last year’s golden jubilee meeting was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
