Askya launches equity-free platform for African AI startups

Askya Investment Partners has unveiled a zero-equity growth platform designed to accelerate artificial intelligence ventures across the African continent.

The pan-African investment firm aims to back high-potential founders building foundational technology tailored to local continental needs.

Industry leaders predict artificial intelligence could add up to one trillion dollars to Africa’s gross domestic product by 2035.

Under the initiative, ten selected startups will undergo six weeks of intensive one-on-one mentorship from seasoned corporate builders.

Participants will gain access to cloud infrastructure, enterprise computing power, and direct pipelines to potential corporate client partnerships.

The equity-free platform offers early-stage ventures valuable resources without diluting founder ownership during critical growth phases.

Selected startups may also secure follow-on equity investments of up to 200,000 dollars directly from Askya.

The program targets tech-native enterprises operating anywhere on the continent with early commercial traction and operational products.

Applications close on September 30, with selected cohort members set to be revealed at the Moonshot conference in Lagos.
