The state-run 2M television reported on social media that the project will cost 1.78 billion dirhams (approximately $176.15 million).
This expansion aims to more than double the airport’s passenger handling capacity.
Upon completion, Marrakech Menara is expected to accommodate over 11.5 million passengers annually, a substantial increase from its current capabilities.
The project signifies Morocco’s commitment to enhancing its tourism infrastructure.
