Morocco has ambitious plans to significantly expand its airport capacity by 2030. The North African nation aims to increase its annual passenger capacity from 38 million to 80 million. This expansion is part of a broader strategy to boost tourism and prepare for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which Morocco will co-host with Spain and Portugal.
Key airports, such as Casablanca, Marrakech, and Agadir, will undergo significant upgrades and expansions to accommodate the increased passenger traffic. The government is also investing heavily in the development of new infrastructure and facilities to ensure a seamless travel experience.
In addition to airport expansion, Morocco is also investing in its rail network, with plans to extend the high-speed train line to Marrakech and Agadir. This will enhance connectivity between major cities and facilitate travel for both domestic and international visitors.
The country’s commitment to infrastructure development and tourism promotion is expected to drive economic growth and position Morocco as a leading destination for travelers from around the world.
