The Turkish drill ship Cagri Bey arrived in Somali waters to start drilling at the Curad-1 well this month.
The vessel departed Tasucu port in Turkey in February after seismic surveys by the Turkish ship Oruc Reis.
In 2024, Somalia and Turkey signed agreements for onshore and offshore oil and gas exploration.
