Turkey deepens cooperation with Senegal across sectors

Turkish Family and Social Services Minister Mahinur Ozdemir Goktas said Ankara will deepen cooperation with Senegal across sectors, emphasizing development and humanitarian support.

At closing ceremony of 6th Turkey-Senegal Joint Economic Commission meeting held in Dakar, she outlined expanding bilateral partnership.

She said relations are not limited to economic cooperation, reflecting entrepreneurial and humanitarian foreign policy supporting Senegal’s development needs.

Turkish agency TIKA has implemented 238 projects in Senegal, providing approximately 15 million dollars in development assistance.

She said education remains central, with 873 Senegalese students receiving scholarships between 2021 and 2025 under cooperation programs.
