Egypt unveils plan to reconstruct Gaza without relocations

Egypt pledged to rebuild Gaza swiftly without displacing Palestinians, following Israel’s devastating war on the enclave.

“We reject the forced removal of Palestinians and support an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital,” said Egyptian Irrigation Minister Hani Sewilam.

Speaking at an event by the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate, he emphasized Egypt’s ability to rebuild Gaza efficiently with its skilled workforce.

Sewilam did not disclose further details on the plan’s timeline or execution.

Meanwhile, former U.S. President Donald Trump suggested resettling Gaza’s population, a proposal widely condemned as ethnic cleansing.

The war has killed over 48,300 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and left Gaza in ruins.

Israel now faces genocide charges at the International Court of Justice, while its leaders face war crimes allegations at the ICC.
