Turkey rejects plan to relocate Palestinians to other countries

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has strongly opposed any plan to relocate Palestinians to Egypt, Jordan, or a third country, calling it “unacceptable.”

Erdogan expressed his firm stance during a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, where they discussed regional and global issues, Türkiye’s Communications Directorate announced.

The two leaders also addressed the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, with Erdogan emphasizing Turkey’s efforts to mediate peace and bring an end to the conflict.

“As a country that has successfully brought both sides to the negotiating table multiple times, Turkey can contribute to peace talks,” Erdogan stated.

He underscored the importance of a negotiation process that includes both Russia and Ukraine, warning against any approach that isolates one side.

The leaders agreed to enhance coordination between Turkey and France, recognizing their roles as NATO allies committed to regional stability.

Erdogan reaffirmed Turkey’s dedication to diplomacy, stressing that long-term peace requires inclusive and fair dialogue among all involved parties.
