Egypt rejects claims of trading economic aid for Gazan refugees

Egypt has vehemently denied recent media reports suggesting it would accept displaced Palestinians from Gaza in exchange for economic assistance.

The State Information Service issued a strong statement on Monday refuting these claims.

They emphasized that the displacement of Gazans constitutes a grave threat to Egyptian national security.

The SIS asserted that such displacement efforts aim to liquidate the Palestinian cause entirely.

Egypt reiterated its unwavering rejection of any attempts to forcibly or voluntarily transfer Palestinians from Gaza.

This stance applies to any location outside the enclave, especially Egyptian territory.

The nation’s foreign policy, they stressed, does not involve trading core Egyptian and Arab interests for any form of aid.

Egypt highlighted the significant economic burdens it has willingly shouldered.

These burdens, stemming from regional issues, have never compelled Egypt to compromise its national security or Arab interests.

The legitimate rights of the Palestinian people remain a paramount concern for Egypt.

This firm denial follows previous dismissals of Israeli media reports about potential temporary relocation plans for Gazans in North Sinai.
