Hamas announced on Monday that 33 hostages held in Gaza had been killed amid the ongoing 14-month war between the Palestinian militant group and Israel. The group did not specify the nationalities of the victims.
Hamas also stated that additional hostages were missing.
In a statement directed at Israel, the group warned, “With the continuation of your crazy war, you could lose your hostages forever. Do what you have to do before it is too late.”
Following the announcement, Hamas released a video outlining the alleged circumstances of the hostages’ deaths, attributing the blame to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
