Israel bombs Indonesian Hospital in Gaza

Israeli forces targeted the power generators of the Indonesian Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip late Thursday, said the Health Ministry in the blockaded enclave.

“The hospital is subjected to heavy shelling that targeted power generators and large parts of buildings,” ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra said in a brief statement.

“The lives of 200 patients and medical staff are at risk amid the attack,” he warned.

There has been no comment so far from the Israeli army on the report.

The attack came hours before a humanitarian pause is set to start between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip at 7 a.m. local time (0500GMT) on Friday.

Israel launched relentless air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip following the Hamas attack on Oct. 7, killing more than 14,854 Palestinians, including 6,150 children and over 4,000 women, according to health authorities in the enclave.

The Israeli death toll, meanwhile, is around 1,200, according to official figures.
