Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz warned Thursday that Israel will hit Iran “again—and harder” if Tehran poses fresh threats, vowing there is “nowhere to hide” from Israeli retaliation.
Speaking at an Israeli Air Force graduation ceremony, Katz said Israel’s “long arm will reach you in Tehran, Tabriz, Isfahan—anywhere you endanger us. If we must return, we will do so with greater force.”
The remarks come weeks after Israel’s 12-day air campaign against Iran in June, which targeted multiple nuclear facilities and sparked fears of regional escalation. The fighting halted under a U.S.-brokered cease-fire announced by President Donald Trump on 23 June.
Israel has argued that the June strikes were necessary to stop Iran from edging toward nuclear-weapons capability—a charge Tehran denies. The United States joined parts of the campaign, also striking Iranian nuclear sites.
