Israeli forces launched a major offensive in Gaza City early Monday, with columns of tanks advancing into the city from multiple directions. Residents reported one of the heaviest attacks since October 7.
The Gaza Civil Emergency Service reported dozens of casualties in eastern Gaza, but ongoing offensives in Tel Al-Hawa, Sabra, Daraj, Rimal, and Tuffah suburbs have prevented emergency teams from reaching the affected areas.
In a statement, the Israeli military announced that they were targeting militant infrastructure in the Gaza Strip and had neutralized more than 30 fighters who posed a threat to Israeli troops.
